My name is Stephen. I like to see what makes things tick and use that knowledge to build bigger and better things. Above all I love the scientific method and the power it has to discover new things. My passion is R&D. Science is my zen and engineering is my motorcycle maintenance (if you've read the book by Pirsig). Building something that you know will work from the start is dead boring. It's better to experiment, fail, and then learn from your findings. That's science!

The other day I came across this awesome WebGL demonstration. It's so incredible that I've watched it probably 30 times this week. I liked it so much that I decided to a dive into WebGL myself. I didn't know what to animate first, so I went ahead and created my Twitter avatar in 3D. If you can't see the 3D animation above, then I'd suggest downloading an HTML5 browser such as Chrome or Firefox.
